About the Farm
Silly Goat Farm Co. is a nonprofit operating a working farm in Monroe County, Wisconsin. We provide trauma-informed programs, peer support, and healing retreats for veterans, first responders, and their families.
The farm is not a facility. It's a farm with animals that need feeding, fences that need walking, seasons that don't care what kind of week you've had. That's the point. Structure without pressure. Purpose without performance.

What we believe
The responses people bring home — the scanning, the sleeplessness, the distance — are not defects. They're the residue of surviving something. They were intelligent once, and they still make sense in context. Programming here starts from that assumption instead of from a list of symptoms.
Founded by
Silly Goat Farm Co. was founded by Candice Viero, MA, CADDCT, CDP, CAMS — U.S. Army veteran, doctoral candidate in international psychology, and a solo parent of four who runs the farm alongside them.
