Healing Retreats

Several days away from screens, calls, and the pull of everything else.

A retreat is a longer version of what happens on the farm — more time, fewer interruptions, and a small group that goes through it together.

Retreats are held off-site at a partner facility with its own lodging, meals, and quiet ground. You arrive, you put your phone down, and for a few days nobody needs anything from you.

Small groups. No performance. Structure when you want it, space when you don't.

WHAT A RETREAT LOOKS LIKE

Mornings are slow and optional. Coffee, quiet, and no requirement to be anywhere.

Middays hold the structured pieces — peer sessions, time with animals, work outdoors, or land-based practice, depending on the group and the season.

Afternoons are open. Walk, sleep, sit, talk to someone, or don't.

Evenings bring the group back together. Meals are shared. Attendance never is.

Nothing on a retreat is mandatory. People who spend three days in a chair by a window get the same welcome as people who do everything.

Homecoming

Five days for veterans who got out and haven't quite landed. Small group, quiet ground, animals, and time with nothing asked of you. No cost, no deposit, nothing owed.

Off Duty

Three days for fire, EMS, dispatch, and law enforcement — built around the wear that accumulates over years rather than any single call. Departments can send a crew, and the cost is billed to the agency rather than the person.

Breaking Free

For people rebuilding after a relationship that controlled where they went, what they had, and who they were allowed to be. This is for after the leaving, when the danger has eased but the habits of surviving someone haven't. Private location, small group, and days where nobody is keeping track of you.

Program Delivery Note

Program design, curriculum, facilitation, and staff training are provided under contract by Viero MH Consulting LLC, a veteran-owned trauma-informed consulting and continuing education practice. Silly Goat Farm Co. is a separate nonprofit organization.
